About the Client

DiversiFi was founded with a simple but powerful thesis: most stablecoins fail not because of complexity, but because of concentrated risk.

DFiUSD is designed as a diversified stable asset backed by multiple stablecoins, using mint/burn mechanics and allocation targeting to reduce exposure to single-asset depegs. Rather than competing on aggressive APY or hype-driven tokenomics, DiversiFi focuses on structural risk minimization, conservative yield, and system simplicity.

The long-term goal is clear: build a stablecoin that traders and capital allocators trust even during stress events.

How CIDT Approached The Project

Phase 1: Protocol Hardening & Test Infrastructure Modernization

DiversiFi needed stronger guarantees around smart contract safety and system invariants before expanding functionality. We began by migrating their V1 unit tests from Hardhat to a structured Foundry-based V2 testing framework.

Our scope included:

  • Migration and refactoring of existing test logic
  • Reorganization by function (mint, burn, rebalance, admin)
  • Implementation of fuzz testing for randomized input validation
  • Invariant testing to verify system properties under arbitrary action sequences
  • Multi-user scenario simulations to model real-world behavior
  • Edge-case expansion to prevent silent failures

This ensured that DFiUSD’s mint/burn and allocation logic remains mathematically sound under stress conditions. Stablecoin infrastructure without invariant enforcement is fragile. We made sure this foundation was hardened before any scaling efforts.

Outcomes & Value

Through Phase 1, CIDT strengthened the technical foundation of DFiUSD by migrating and restructuring the protocol’s testing architecture into a Foundry-based framework with fuzz and invariant validation, significantly improving smart contract reliability and audit readiness. The redesigned test structure reduced the risk of hidden logic failures within mint, burn, and rebalancing mechanics, critical components for a diversified stablecoin operating under market stress. Beyond code quality, CIDT introduced structured ownership, streamlined development workflows via Jira and GitHub integration, and reduced founder cognitive load by providing senior-level technical validation during a historically high-risk development phase. As a result, DiversiFi transitioned from rapid early deployment to a more resilient, systematically engineered stablecoin infrastructure prepared for staking expansion and long-term protocol evolution.
